Description

−

Testabol Depot BD contains testosterone cypionate, testosterone attached to an eight-carbon cypionate ester. The ester gives a slow, steady release from the injection site. Testosterone cypionate was introduced in the 1950s and is used medically for testosterone replacement in men with hypogonadism. It is chemically and practically very close to testosterone enanthate, with a slightly longer half-life.

Composition

+

It contains 200 mg/ml of testosterone cypionate in a sterile oil base, commonly cottonseed or grapeseed oil, with benzyl benzoate and benzyl alcohol. After injection the ester is removed in the body, releasing free testosterone identical to the natural hormone. Supplied as 10 ml Vial.

Outcome

+
  • Frequently referenced as a foundation compound for lean mass and strength.
  • Described as giving stable blood levels because of its long ester.
  • Associated with improved recovery, appetite and sense of well-being in men with low testosterone.
  • Converts partly into estrogen and DHT, giving both anabolic and androgenic effects.
  • Medically the standard injectable form for testosterone replacement therapy in the US.
  • These are commonly discussed associations in community and research literature, not approved performance claims.

Side Effects

+
  • Suppression of natural testosterone production and reduced sperm count with non-medical use.
  • Estrogen-related effects such as water retention and breast tissue growth (gynecomastia), because testosterone converts into estrogen.
  • Acne, oily skin, and hair loss in people who are genetically prone to it.
  • Raised red blood cell count (hematocrit) and blood pressure, which increase cardiovascular risk.
  • Unfavourable cholesterol changes, mainly lower HDL ("good") cholesterol.
  • Virilizing effects in women, such as voice deepening, body hair growth and menstrual changes. These can be permanent.
  • This is not a complete list and should not be treated as medical guidance.

Important Safety Information

+
  • Contraindications: Do not use it if you have prostate or male breast cancer, severe heart, liver, or kidney disease, or a known allergy to the ingredients. It should not be used during pregnancy or by anyone under 18.
  • Common Side Effects: Acne, oily skin, mood changes, changes in libido, and fluid retention.
  • Serious Risks: Cardiovascular strain, raised blood pressure, unfavourable cholesterol changes, reduced fertility, prolonged suppression of natural hormone production, and irreversible virilization in women.
  • Product Quality: This is a widely counterfeited product category. A product sold under this name may not contain what the label says, which adds a separate safety risk.
